The GTO, restyled for the 1965 model year, added an improvised 389 engine rated at 360 hp which recorded a record 0-60 miles per hour in 5.8 seconds in the standing quarter mile, and an observed top speed of 114 miles per hour making this car a Treasure Hunt of its own for would be owners of the Pontiac line of cars.
