In 1970, sheet metal revisions gave the bodies a more coke bottle styling, and interiors were also redesigned. The 1970 Chevelle and the 1970 Buick Skylark share the same roofline. The 1970 Chevelle came in Sport Coupe, Sport Sedan, convertible, four-door sedan, a couple of wagons, and coupé utility (the El Camino) body styles. Only three of these (Malibu sport coupe, Malibu convertible, and El Camino pickup) were available with a choice of one of two SS options; RPO Z25 with the SS 396 (402 cid) engine and RPO Z15 with the new 454 cid engine. The base model was now simply called Chevelle in lieu of the former base 300 Deluxe, and was only available as a Sport Coupe or four-door sedan. In Canada, the base series retained its 300 Deluxe name, with appropriate badging on each front fender just behind the front wheel well. The 300 Deluxe 2-door sedan was canceled and replaced by the base Chevelle Sport Coupe, a 2 door pillarless hardtop. The hardtop, convertible, and sedan received the upgraded sheet metal but the station wagons and El Camino retained the previous year's sheet metal panels (which went on for the next 2 model years). Station wagons were the entry-level Nomad, the Chevelle level Greenbrier, the Malibu level Concours, and an upscale Concours Estate. New options included power door locks and a stalk-mounted wiper control. Production was expanded to the GM Arlington Assembly plant in Arlington, Texas (where the Chevelle was assembled with its corporate siblings in this case the Oldsmobile Cutlass).

2013 Holden VF Commodore Matchbox

The Holden Commodore (VF) is a full-size car that was produced by Holden between June 2013 and October 2017. It was the second and last significantly restyled iteration of the fourth (and final) generation of the Holden Commodore to be manufactured in Australia. Its range included the sedan and station wagon variants that sold under the luxury Holden Calais (VF) nameplate. Also available was the commercial utility variant that sold under the Holden Ute (VF) nameplate.

From 2013 to 2017 an improved version of the Commodore SS V sedan was exported to the United States badged as the Chevrolet SS; an evolution of the badging practice used on the previous-generation Commodore that was sold in North America as the Pontiac G8 from 2008 to 2009, prior to the Pontiac brand being discontinued. Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) used the VF series as the basis of its performance Gen-F sedan, wagon and utility models, which were also exported to the United Kingdom rebadged as the Vauxhall VXR8 range.

In December 2013, GM announced that it would discontinue all Australian production in 2017.

The Custom '69 Chevy is a Hot Wheels casting based on a customized version of a 1969 Chevy C/K pickup truck.

The casting was retooled in 2020, with the grill and lower bumper now being part of the base and reduced dimensions.

1934 Chevrolet Chevy Master Coupe Matchbox 1:64

Los sedanes Chevrolet Master fueron una serie de automóviles de turismo construidos entre las décadas de 1930 y 1940 por parte del fabricante norteamericano General Motors, para su división Chevrolet. Se trataba de una serie de automóviles de tamaño completo, en su mayoría en carrocería coupé de dos puertas, que fueran fabricados por General Motors desde el año 1937, recibiendo distintas denominaciones.

Básicamente, estos sedanes compartían su mecánica compuesta por un motor delantero longitudinal de 6 cilindros en línea, de entre 3800 y 4000 cm³, con cajas de velocidades de tres marchas y tracción trasera. Los coches fueron presentados con diferentes nombres, destacándose la Línea Master, la Línea Special Deluxe, la Línea Style (Styleline)​ y la Línea Deluxe.

La producción de los sedanes Chevrolet se inició en 1937, deteniéndose momentáneamente en 1942 al verse afectada la producción por la recesión de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Tras este conflicto, la producción se reinició en 1945 continuando hasta el año 1952. Estos coches fueron reemplazados por los modelos 150, 210 y Bel Air. Estas unidades también fueron importadas a diferentes países, destacándose su comercialización en Argentina, donde los Sedanes Fleetmaster fueron utilizados para el desarrollo de competencias de Turismo Carretera. Con un Chevrolet Fleetmaster, Juan Manuel Fangio quíntuple campeón mundial de Fórmula 1, obtuvo sus primeros dos campeonatos de automovilismo, al ganar en los años 1940 y 1941 sus dos únicos de campeonatos de TC y los primeros dos títulos de la marca Chevrolet en dicha categoría. Unos años más tarde, en 1966, Juan Manuel Bordeu repetiría el éxito logrado por Fangio, dándole a la Coupé Chevrolet su tercer título, y el último logrado por un coche de estas características, ante el advenimiento de los automóviles compactos y los Sport prototipos que dieron inicio a una nueva etapa dentro del TC.

The Chevrolet El Camino is a coupé utility vehicle that was produced by Chevrolet between 1959–60 and 1964–1987. Unlike a standard pickup truck, the El Camino was adapted from the standard two-door Chevrolet station wagon platform and integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body.

Introduced in the 1959 model year in response to the success of the Ford Ranchero coupé utility, its first run, based on the Biscayne's B-body, lasted only two years. Production resumed for the 1964–1977 model years based on the Chevelle platform, and continued for the 1978–1987 model years based on the GM G-body platform.

Although based on corresponding General Motors car lines, the vehicle is classified in the United States as a pickup. GMC's badge engineered El Camino variant, the Sprint, was introduced for the 1971 model year. Renamed Caballero in 1978, it was also produced through the 1987 model year.

The concept of a two-door vehicle based on a passenger car chassis with a tray at the rear began in the United States in the 1920s with the roadster utility (also called "roadster pickup" or "light delivery") models.

Ford Australia was the first company to produce a coupé utility as a result of a 1932 letter from the wife of a farmer in Victoria, Australia, asking for "a vehicle to go to church in on a Sunday and which can carry our pigs to market on Mondays". Ford designer Lew Bandt developed a suitable solution, and the first coupé utility model was released in 1934. Bandt went on to manage Ford's Advanced Design Department, being responsible for the body engineering of the XP, XT, XW, and XA series Ford Falcon utilities. General Motors’ Australian subsidiary Holden also produced a Chevrolet coupé utility in 1935, and Studebaker produced the Coupé Express from 1937 to 1939. The body style did not reappear on the American market until the release of the 1957 Ford Ranchero.

Both the coupé utility and the similar open-topped roadster utility continued in production, but the improving economy of the mid- to late-1930s and the desire for improved comfort saw coupé utility sales climb at the expense of the roadster utility until, by 1939, the latter was all but a fading memory.

In 1957, Ford introduced the Ranchero, and established a new market segment in the U.S. of an automobile platform based coupé utility. In 1959, Chevrolet responded with the El Camino to compete with Ford's full-sized Ranchero. The original El Camino and Ranchero would compete directly only in the 1959 model year.
