The Aston Martin DBR1 was a sports racing car built by Aston Martin starting in 1956, intended for the World Sportscar Championship as well as non-championship sportscar races at the time. It is most famous as the victor of the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans, Aston Martin's only outright victory at the endurance classic. It is one of only three cars in the 1950s to win both the World Sports Car Championship and Le Mans 24 Hours in the same year (the others being the Ferrari 375 Plus in 1954 and the Ferrari 250TR in 1958). In addition the six World Sports Car Championship victories was a record for any car in the 1950s and remained a record in the championship until surpassed by the Ferrari 250TR. The three consecutive triumphs in 1959 at the Nürburgring, Le Mans and the Tourist Trophy equalled the record set by the Ferrari 250TR with its three consecutive victories at the start of the 1958 season.
In August 2017, car DBR1/1 was sold for a world record price for a British-made car of US$22,555,000.Este es un blog de fotografías para la colección personal de autos de diferentes escalas.

Peugeot 405 Raid Turbo 16 Pioneer Bilstein Esso Valeo SKF Facom Magneti Marelli 1:24 Burago
Un Peugeot 405 RAID Turbo 16 escala 1:24 de la marca Burago hecho en Italia y comprado en México hace más de 20 años.
From Wikipedia:
The Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 is a coupé built by Peugeot Talbot Sport, derived from the Peugeot 405 and the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 in 1988 for African rally raids. Driven by Ari Vatanen the four wheel drive car won the Paris Dakar rally in 1989 and 1990. It won the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 1988 driven by Vatanen in record-breaking time. The film Climb Dance was made from the race.
It had four wheel steering, a feature never before seen on a rally or hillclimb car. The engine sat very low in front of the right rear wheel with the turbo charger on the opposite side. It had a very good power-to-weight ratio with more than 600 horsepower for a car weighing barely 900 kilograms and could accelerate from zero to 200 km/h in less than 10 seconds. The car was backed by a $1 million-plus budget from Peugeot.
